Lisa Dickson - Workshop

Description of workshop:

This workshop invites creatives of all kinds to explore their Creative Philosophies through guided reflection, and both individual exercises and collaborative activities. Participants are encouraged to consider their creative practice in the context of our communities and the north and how their sense of place contributes to their creative vision.

Bio Lisa dickson

I am a Full Professor and a 3M National Teaching Fellow who has over 30 years of experience leading workshops and facilitating visioning, development and design sessions. I founded the 3M National Teaching Fellowship Mentoring Network and have worked with numerous educators and learners to explore their personal philosophies, to bring their commitments and values into alignment with their practice, and to find their voices in their own work. I am co-author of a book, Shakespeare’s Guide to Hope, Life and Learning (University of Toronto Press 2023) that focuses on these issues in the context of critical hope, empathy and love in education. I have worked with Method Dance since its inception as a Board Member, performer, writer and consultant.
